Barrandov Studios Has a New Sales Director
PETR VOLNY NAMED AS NEW BARRANDOV STUDIOS SALES DIRECTOR
Ing. Petr Volny was named as the new Barrandov Studios Sales Director at the start of August. This position was newly established, as in the past Barrandov’s sales activities were included within the competencies of the marketing director. This post was held by Petr Polednak, who left at his own request this past March, and, until now, his activities fell within the scope managed by the company’s general director.
“The new sales director will primarily be responsible for foreign film productions, relations with Czech filmmakers, orders for commercials, and new product development, such as foreign co-productions and expansion of Barrandov Productions activities,” according to Ing. Vladimir Kuba, Barrandov Studios General Director and Chairman of the Board of Directors.
In addition to General Director Vladimir Kuba and new Sales Director Petr Volny, Barrandov’s three-member top management team includes Financial Director Janka Vozarova, who is also the vice-chairperson of the company’s Board of Directors.
Ing. Petr Volny was born in 1959. He is married and the father of four children. Most recently, he was employed at Viasat-MTG. Prior to that time, he held the position of director for IP Arbomedia Slovakia.
