The Czech monetary unit is the Czech crown (CZK). The Euro and US dollars are accepted at most stores. Stores post the logos of the cards that they accept at their entry doors. The most commonly accepted cards in the Czech Republic are VISA, Euro/Mastercard, and American Express.
Most of the larger banks in the Czech Republic are open weekdays, from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., but the great majority are closed on weekends. Automated teller machines, which can be universally used for all financial institutions, can be found on almost every street corner.
