Film Processing and Printing

Kodak Certificate Barrandov’s film laboratories process both 35mm and 16mm format films, both B&W and color.

Color negatives are generally processed overnight and during the morning hours from Sunday evening until Saturday morning. However, we will work with you to meet any production requirements that may arise, and can ensure processing at almost any time. All processing is performed on advanced FilmLab and PhotoMac equipment, using the Kodak ECN-2 process for negatives and the ECP-2 process for positives. Kodak regularly verifies the quality of the developing process.

Additionally, we are the only film laboratory in the former territory of Czechoslovakia that processes black and white negatives.

We can also accommodate any special requirements made by camera crew for non-standard processing of materials by changing exposure time or temperature (PUSH/PULL processing), omitting or reducing the bleaching stage (BLEACH BYPASS processing), or applying a negative developing process to reversal film (CROSS processing). These methods are often used to achieve changes in contrast, color, and grain in the image that best meets the artistic intentions of the film’s creator.

Their experience boasts many international productions at top studios and production companies.
