Barrandov Earns Success in America

FILM -- Films in which Barrandov Studios participated have received significant acclaim in Los Angeles. Peter Lamont won an award for the production he designed for the James Bond flick "Casino Royale", a portion of which was shot on Barrandov Hill. Another film that received an award is "Das Leben der Anderen" ("The Life of Others"). The music for this film was recorded at the Barrandov recording studio. A number of sets for "Casino Royale" were contructed at Barrandov, including hotel suites, a boiler room, a hospital room, a casino, and a library. The author of the film score for "Das Leben der Anderen" is Stephane Moucha, a French composer with Czech roots.
